Registering CHM addresses in the RNA

Registering the CHM de Montalivet addresses in the national address database (RNA) – for more safety and fairness

The CHM is an integral part of our commune. It’s a real village, with 1,267 bungalows, its own paths, and residents – around 500 of whom live there year-round. Since 2023, the SCOT officially recognizes it as a village, which it already is in practice.

And yet, the CHM’s addresses are still not listed in the national address database (RNA). This is a real problem: in emergencies, at night or in case of fire, rescue services don’t always know where to go. In winter, when the front gate security is no longer present after 10 pm, every minute can count.

The solution is simple: the addresses already exist. They’re known to the tax authorities, as property owners pay land tax. Adding them to the RNA would bring more clarity, transparency and – above all – peace of mind for everyone.

It’s not about control, but about fairness and common sense: every household in Vendays-Montalivet has an official address – those in the CHM should have one too. It would make the work of emergency services, postal workers and municipal teams much easier.

A small administrative step, but a big move for safety, respect and equality in our commune.

“No address is too small when safety is at stake.”
