Taking time to breathe – yoga and well-being in Montalivet
Today, many people experience stress in their daily lives.
Children may face school-related stress or feel under pressure.
Adults often experience stressful situations at work or struggle to balance professional and personal life.
Seniors can also go through difficult periods, for example related to health or changes in their personal environment.
Many people simply wish to regain more calm and balance in their lives.
Our idea
We propose to develop simple activities in the municipality that promote relaxation and well-being, for example yoga.
Yoga can help to:
- relax
- better listen to one’s body
- reduce stress
- regain a better daily balance
Activities for all generations
For children and young people, these activities could be offered as part of afternoon extracurricular programmes.
Workshops could also be offered to adults and seniors. They would help participants learn how to better recognise signs of stress, relax and take care of their bodies.
These activities could also be intergenerational, allowing several generations to participate together.
Conditions already in place
In Montalivet, several people already teach yoga. The municipality could simply support or make these activities more visible so that they become accessible to a wider public.
A simple idea
The objective is to offer activities accessible to everyone, in small groups and on a voluntary basis.
Even small initiatives can contribute to improving well-being and quality of life in the municipality.
